Pip Willcox is Head of
Lambeth Palace Library,
leading a team caring for
the historic library and
archive of the Archbishops
of Canterbury and the
Church of England’s
national archive.
Formerly Head of
Research at the National
Archives, she led research
and innovation in
archival practice, often in
national or international
partnerships. Previously
at Oxford’s Bodleian
Library, she established
the UK’s first Centre
for Digital Scholarship.
Her research focuses on
innovative approaches to
library and archive
collections, harnessing
technology to understand
collections, share
knowledge with wider
audiences and nurture
the next generation of
library and archive users
and professionals.

Clare Wright is an
architect, educator and
co-founder of Wright &
Wright Architects, an
award-winning practice
specialising in the design
of buildings for leading
institutions in the culture
and higher education
sectors. Clients include
the British Museum,
National Gallery,
V&A Museum, British
Academy, Church of
England and several
Oxford colleges. Clare has
also sat on the English
Heritage Urban Advisory
Panel (now the Historic
Places Panel), shaping
policy in sensitive
planning locales and
advising executive bodies
on approaches to
development in historic
settings. She is a regular
jury member for
architectural awards
programmes run by the
RIBA, RIAS, Civic Trust
and Arts Council of
England and has been
an external assessor at
Cambridge, Glasgow and
Westminster schools of
architecture. Clare was
awarded an MBE for
services to Architecture
in 2004 and elected to
the Royal Scottish
Academy in 2022.
Mel Allwood is
Sustainability Director
for Arup London’s
Buildings Group. She and
her team work with a
number of the world’s
leading property asset
owners, investors and
developers on net zero
carbon strategies at both
the portfolio, urban
district and individual
building level, in London
and across the world.
An environmental
engineer and chartered
environmentalist,
Mel and her team have a
reputation for innovative
and market-leading use of
sustainability strategies,
and have achieved a
number of UK and global
‘firsts’ in the field of
sustainable building
certification.
